Well this post/article could open a huge can of worms.

That being said I will reply anyways. First off you saying "And if you don't believe in God or anything at all...you better start now..." sounds more like a threat. But I won't get into that, because that is your point of view and it is fine for you to express it. Secondly religion doesn't necessarily make you a good or bad person, you are who you are. Your belief in God may help guide you to a "nicer" path, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't have chosen that same path without your belief.
I was going to write a long "speech" here about giving others their own choice, but I will simply leave it as this. I am Catholic, I believe what I believe and others may have a different view then me, and that is their right.
