Rockprincess, I would recommend getting a PS3. It offers much more than the PS2. First off it can play PS2 games (not sure which one you have to get in the UK, the ones in US play PS2 games no matter which one you get). Secondly it has some very good games that are not out for other consoles (and yes Xbox360 and Wii both has games only out for them as well) for 2 good examples are Metal Gear Solid 4 and Warhawk. It has built in WiFi so you can play with friends online out of the Box (think this is standard now). Wireless controller with directional movement capabilities and rumble (Sony dropped the ball on the rumble for a bit). Another feature is it plays Blu-Ray discs, which is the replacement for DVD.
