Nothing.
The way I see it, it's only the religious folk, with their "we are God's special creations" nonsense, that oppose evolution just because that means we AREN'T special.
The Universe is a big big place. You can't imagine how big. It's big, it's cold and it's empty.
if we're the only intelligent life, what's it all there for? If we're not meant to have science, if we're not meant to have knowledge, we'd never leave this planet, we'd never explore the stars, it'd be a huge amount of wasted space in space, eh?
