Anyway who actually believes Video Games cause a bad influence on Kiddies? I don't

I think its stupid that these kids are going out there, shooting people and then once the get in trouble, the parents blame it on video games, but to be influenced that much by a video game, you would have to be pretty f***ed up in the head to begin with.

And another example is that my younger brothers can't play violent, shooting games, as they cause a bad influence, but yet my parents let him watch violent shows such as Power Rangers (yes power rangers) and they end up hitting each other. I have never seen them do that over video games.

Also another example is GTA3, it originally came out like all other releases of the game in Australia, but was pulled back because it contained stuff inappropriate for the public....hello? Most of the people playing this game are over 15, so they shouldn't need to and I have seen more violent movies then GTA3, that have been rated MA yet they don't pull them back.

Anyway enough of my rabbling....oppinons?

well i think there harmless fun, the kids who r doing all that are just f'ed up in the heard, and prolly had a **** child hood so its the parents fualt.

i think state of emergency was banned from AUS ? which was stupid as it was the stupids and most annoying game ever to be invented, going around beating the **** out of peeps wow the fun for 5 minutes yes but it just gets boring,

i dont think that video games harm or disturb kids in anyway.its those stupid overated movies.and clowns whats the go with them anyway.

game dont make people do anything.

its only a game, how could anyone go ouit to sluaghter peeps after playing GTA 3 VC, firstly, they wouldn't leave untill they have completed it, and ifthey did they would a nutter anyway.

GTA3 was pulled back because you kill police officers in it. They don't care about hookers or bystanders, but when cops in a game get shot, watch out.

When I see a 5 year old killing a cop and saying screw you motha F*ck*r I will believe it

well i think that really little kids can be effected by a video game... under the age of 5 has been show to be a Childs emotional and decision making development period.. so if they was playing a game such as... GTA VC,,, they would problem walk around doing stupid ****.. i do however believe that a person of mature age,,, is not effected at all... and if they are,,, they have a vary simple mind... and shouldn’t be playing video games in the first place...

Yes I agree with that Ducon, someone under the age of 10 shouldn't be playing Grand Theft Auto VC, I have just started playing it, and at a young age like that it can give people the wrong ideas.

if u ask me it is bull**** that people reckon that games are bad influences. if they let kids play them they cant say anything

well thats why they have an age rating on it, which can not be controled

ive been asked for ID lots of times when buying games... and if i dont have it, i dont get the game... :o so it has to be working somehow,,, but its all down to the person who is selling it to wich a kid will get it or not... or if the parents just dont care and buy the games for their kids... wich i have seen before... and their kids are not the best behaved becouse of it... :o

yes but thats what im getting at, when i was under age to by the smokes,. i used to get my older friends to by them for me, whats stiopping kids doing this, getting there older bro or sister to get it or friend??? nothing thats why it gets to the lil peeps,

yea true... but thats morals... something we all should have... not do do them things... laws are set for a reason,,, sometimes...

who gives a **** on ratings and i don't see how a game is a bade influence i mean if you sore a game that hade someone going around and killing millions of people would you do that.

ratings are stupid..... one time my little brother wanted to buy like spryro and it was rated teen for fire and dead frogs.....which teen plays spyro anyways...
