Anyway, I really have no idea why they did it, maybe to try be different or cool, its beyond me because of those cds they can't play DVDs and Music CDs.

The purpose of using mini-DVDs was use to shrink piracy,and another example of Nintendo's originality.

Hmm I wouldn't exactly call it originality, mini-discs were used before Nintendo used them in the GC, and there are many other methods of stopping piracy, as far as I know, there aren't many people with PS2 chips because they simply brake down there system, Xbox on the other hand are very easy to mod.

Last time I remember,they were mini-dvds,not mini-disc
....anyhooo,as far as your comment,who else has used a mini-dvd on a gaming console??
It sure did help piracy,how many ordinary casual gamers who just felt like pirating have equipment to duplicate this kinda of software format?Rarely no one.

wasnt xbox suposed to be some kind of un-hackable console, i mean wasnt it suposed to be impossible to make a chip for it?
anyway i like the mini disks/dvds. they are cool 
i dont actually have any real reason for why they are good accept for the ones above, if there is any above that is
i cant be bothered to give advice, im very dizzy, ive had nearly 30hours without sleep, and thats a lot for me.
but privacy is a good reason

mate, its good that xboxes are easy to chip cause you pay $20 for a game and i reakon if gc had normal dvds. they would hav sold mor of them.

well you proabably can get a chip for GC, they'll figure it out somehow. if its worth money, anyone will do it.
