Re: Argh
For a sec there, I though somethings serious had gone wrong.
Just buy another PSP. When one of the backgrounds is pink, there's a good chance the other one won't be.
Surely there's a way to disable the auto-changing colours though...?

Re: Argh
Mine's pink too.
Looks like all PSP's are setup the same. April must be a pink month at Sony HQ.
Good news is my unit's almost perfect. No dead pixels or anything. The only thing is there's a microscopic spec of dust or something in the screen. I can tell it's not a stuck pixel because it's suspended over the surface. Meh. Don't care.

Re: Argh
I'm truly stunned. I've only played WipEout Pure so far but it's incredible. It's just like having a tiny PS2, and the picture quality and animation is far better than I expected. I think the LCD looks great. Haven't listened with earphones yet, but the speakers are pretty good.
I love the way the PSP looks. It's totally slick, with the metal stripe going round the edge and the shiny black top. Feels nice and solid too, and I can't understand these people who claim twisting it ejects their UMD's. Why would anybody twist it?
Anyway, here's a photo of my PSP. -> Pic.
My battery just finished charging so I'm off to play some more WipEout.

Re: Argh
They are all pink guys. I looked it up on the net awhile ago on trying to change it from the green of last month. Then I saw that pink was coming. I guess I should have warned you all sorry.

Re: Argh
Yeah, I think Lumines will be the best of the puzzle games - maybe even the best overall launch title. I'm getting Lumines, Mercury, Smart Bomb and looking forward to Puzzle Bobble.
I love WipEout Pure though. It's quite addictive, and the graphics are amazing (I especially like the quake weapon). I've reached a point where it's hard to win a bronze medal. I realise now I should have picked the fastest ship right at the start, and used the early races to get used to the handling & airbrakes etc. instead of starting with the slow easy-handling ships.
After having the PSP for a couple of days, I have to say I'm very impressed with it. The analogue control works really well, the screen looks incredible, and with earphones it's just like listening to a PS2 game. Everything is just perfect, from the way video, photos and music work, to the way you get a little video preview of the UMD that's in the drive. The way it's presented is just totally slick.
For anybody who's putting off importing one because they're worried about getting the power supply to work (as I was), USB charging works perfectly, and if you need mains power, you can even dump the US power lead and use the one from your PS2 to charge/power it. 2thumbs

Re: Argh
Mine's green, and it's also on eBay.
I'll get another when there's a good catalogue of games out for it and there are some other people in my area to play against over wifi. The opportunity to make a few quid out of the September delay is too good to pass up.
