The aliens one is still going on. Seti@home is that one. And I use the google compute on my new computer.

I don't think it does, but I'm not really sure. I was meaning to e-mail them about that one. I still have IE on my computer, but I use FireFox, so I just installed the Google ToolBar on IE and then installed the Google Compute feature.

Those seti@home screensavers were basicaly spyware ,not only did they send info to the seti site ,but also advertising sites monitering your online surfing habits.

If this google thingy dosnt work with firfox ,then it wont be going anywhere near my Pc.

Anybody out there still using IE .... Why?

You don't have to actually use IE for the program to be running. It will also continue to run if the browser is closed, so you could just install it, make sure it's running, and then never bother with it again.

You really must learn to trust Google, people

Especialy a company whose major source of income is advertising on the net.
