This might sound really really stupid.

I have some trouble trying to get hold of a guard. You know grapple him.
I finished mgs2 a couple of times and had no problems getting one in a chokehold.
But now everytime i try to chokehold one from behind i either get close and he turns around (with a ! above his head) or i press o when behind him and snake hits him.

What am i doing wrong, i tried doing it with a cqc weapon and a non cqc weapon (the ones with the red mark in the bottom left corner saying cqc in red are cqc weapons right) and tryed doing it unarmed.
Please help me out! I've been screwing around with some guards like this for almost a whole hour.

Very frustrating cous i had no problems doing it in mgs1 and mgs2.

btw. i do sneak up to him from behind as quiet as i can...

I think your meant to hold down sqaure button instead of circle.

If you use the D-pad then you walk a lot slower and quieter. That should help with the first problem!!

ifound that it was easiest to lay on the floor then get up when they've got there back to you then you use the d pad to move alot more silently and when they stop walking you stop right behind themand press o

wasnt it Circle not Square (i could be wrong) I never had any problem grapping them. Btw a Real MGS fan would kill them with a knife ^^
