No, shops haven't stopped selling it.
The Dixons chain (Argos etc. ) have cut the price to £80 & the sales have (unsurprisingly) rocketed since. There have been claims this is to clear stock, but that's not been said by Dixons HQ but just the anti-GC zealots at the moment.
And the GC is not ****!. LOL!. 
Edit - why doesn't this forum like the use of the GBP sign?. It comes out as a 'J' instead??. :? |

The GC controller is fine. And it does have good games. The Xbrick has a bloody controller that'll break your back.
