So I decided to go online after months of speculation. But the damnest part is that my console is not configuring. I called the my ISP and they said they don't provide support for consoles and they can even answer a single question of mine. And I called Soney and they say it's something that the ISP should take care of...like sending the ip address through the console. I boiled it down to this...does my computer also need to be hooked up to the net? Do I need a router or there is a way to just plug in the modem to the console and get the games going? I have broadband and my console is internet ready.

I myself have a ps2 hookup, but i had no problem running the online chord "dont mind my spelling" if u have the cd to set up the online gaming and a memory card you should be just fine.

I've put the cd but the ps2 can't configure. Isn't supposed to work with the modem directly hooked to the console without a router?
