Ok, yesturday somebody just gave me the CD to Photoshop Elements 2.0 to do some basic editing until I get GIMP.

But while installing, it was installing 'language-dependant files' for over 2 1/2 hours before I just quit it.

But any way, it did the actual installation before that and so it didn't matter when I quit the language thing installation.

But whenever I go to start it up, I get this:

A required .DLL file, UID.MR.DLL, was not found.

The graphics card I am using is a 32MB nVidia TNT2 with the latest drivers and DirectX 9.0b.

What do I do?

either paste it in the photoshop elements folder, or better yet in C:\WINDOWS\system32...

Thanks a heap for that -- it's working now. 2thumbs

BUT, now I get this message once it's opened:

Could not load default brushes because the file could not be found.

Then after clicking ok, it says the same thing about 'default swatces'. After OK, 'default gradients'. Then 'default patterns'. Contours, custom shapes, then it opens the whole thing. After this, it seems to work ok.

Is there something wrong with the installation? ...

Or if it's just me, thanks for the help again
