i have a gameboy advance. SP is the same thing but it is much better looking, and since i rarely play on my gb advance i didnt get the SP.

SP is only a good idea if you've never had a GBA before. Why spend the money just to get the chargeable battery and a backlight?

Actually, I think it would be keen if I could pay for an additional backlight and chargeable battery for my GBA.

Does anyone think it's worth buying a GBA Sp at this point considering the DS is less than 2 months away and it will play GBA games?

I kinda am thinking about it.

yes,definitly,first you save money on batterys,because you have rechargable ones,seond you can play whenever without light as it has its own light that is perfect,number three its compact and fits in pockets easyily,number four my screen doesnt even have a spec of dust on it,with my gameboy advance its scratched to the max,but my sp is fine,because it folds out it has mild protect,id say its worth it

And once the DS comes out, the price of GBA SPs would more than likely drop. So go for it.

Nah. I don't use my GBA that much to really need to front the extra cash for an SP. Besides...I recently lost my Fire Emblem game and I have no idea where it is

The last time I saw it...was before school when I'd gone on vacation up near Austin...:o

Well I guess what I mean is the DS can play GBA games. So should I buy a GBA or GBA SP at all? Or just the DS or PSP? Since they are coming out soon.

I'd probably get the DS if I were you. Personally, I'm more interested in PCs lately.

Yeah I guess it comes down to how much money I want to spend. I'm finding myself with extra time at work or while waiting at appointments or whatever, I've recently been thinking it would be nice to have something portable. I probably would only get some of the classics like FF1 and Zelda A Link to the Past and stuff like that. I'm really not into the whole "new generation" of Mario and Zelda games. I thought Four Swords was so dumb same with Mario tennis and stuff like that.
