Re: Windows Passwords
You know when you type in a login to something that "would you like windows to remeber this password for you" box comes up. Does anyone know where that is stored.

Re: Windows Passwords
I don't think it is actually viewable, I imagine as a security reason Microsoft would have made it so that stored passwords are encrypted...
Why do you need to know this anyway? if you're trying to get someones password (which you shouldn't be doing), you're best off using a keystroke logger...

Re: Windows Passwords
I think he or she is asking so they can remove the passwords that are saved in the internet browser.

Re: Windows Passwords
First, I am a guy. Second, I just have a lot of passwords and account number stored and want to clean up a bit. If anyone knows please just tell me, I don't need morality classes.
P.S. I don't mean to sound holier than thou.

Re: Windows Passwords
You can delete cookies one at a time in Firefox & Netscape:-
Firefox - Tools menu, Options, Cookies, Stored cookies button...
Netscape - Edit menu, Preferences, Privacy and Security (white panel on the left). A manage cookies button should appear in the window.
IE - Tools menu, Internet Options, Delete Cookies button (Deletes all of 'em - Typical Microsoft).
Don't know about Windows remembering stuff. Like ænima says, they'll be encrypted anyway.

Re: Windows Passwords
You told him the easy way ænima, you should have told him the whole character map in the start menu and then tell him to cpoy and paste it, but not with the ctrl c and ctrl v method, make him use paste from the edit menu.
