PS2 fell, now it won't play PS2 or DVD, will play PS1.
My son pulled the PS2 off the shelf and onto the floor. Now it will not play PS2 games or DVD's, but it will play PS1 games. Is there some kind of reset or can I bring it to a repair shop or would it be cheaper to buy another PS2? Thanks.

just get it repaired although it will probaly take a couple of days until their done or just fix it yourself thats what i would do

i am not sure how much it would cost to repair it, so i would suggest taking it into a shop for an estimate and then comparing it to the price of a new system or a slightly used one from ebay.

you could always try the old standby...thump it a couple of times, you might be able to reset it that way...it can't hurt the machine anymore!

Why not? It could do some internal damage. DO NOT hit it even more. Just take it to get repaired I would expect it not to cost more than £60-70

if u mail it to sony they will repair it for 100 dollars.. thats cheaper than a new system

I didn't say throw it against a wall, but tapping it a little is not going to cause anymore damage to the system and it could actually fix the problem if it is a small one. |
