I'd like to ask all of u a simple thing, but if u answer me i will be thankfull for ever!!!! PLS HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM!
--I downloaded VidarEMU beta6 and the new version 87.2 for beta6
--I downloaded that program which i could create an account, i created an account
--I have sakray and kRO in their last versions, i have the executable ragnarok.exe
--I have already put IP=127.0.0.1 and protocol=0 because i want the offline game
--I have already made my data folder and my sclientinfo
--I made everything in this forum that is necessary for playing my own server
-- I can begin my game and creat my chars, but when i try log in it always appear the same message: "Failed connect to server"

This is what you have to do....

1. Download latest Vidar files and the Lord edit thing. Adjust everything to your liking like the exp rates your war of emperium time etc etc. BTW here's vidar's website. http://vidaronline.com

2. Download kRO Sakray and the run files in this website No need to download the kRO ragnarok just sakray because what you actually need in the kRO ragnarok is the runfiles

3. Patch your kRO Sakray and then press the button on the right side to exit the patch when the patch process is complete.

4. Download hexed. exe http://eathena.deltaanime.net/forum/...c46ec7043bee47 ae0b976 and extract in the same folder as your kRO Sakray

5. Download sclient info here Extract this also in the kRO folder. http://home.tiscali.nl/darkchild/sclientinfo.rar

6. Download kRO data translation here http://phpbnc.sourceforge.net/ro-stuff/6.0.exe

7. Put your server name and your Ip in the sclientinfo.

8. Create your account, run the vidar login,character and zone then run your hexed.exe. Voila! You are playing on your own server.

PS: I haven't made my own server so I'm not so sure about these things

Ok this is a new guide... This is something better than before.

1. Download this http://files.deltaanime.net/Nen7aSVN...T-with-SRC.rar.
Extract this anywhere you want

2. Download SAK_SETUP1025
http://211.39.133.47/ragnaweb/SAK_SETUP1025.exe Install it and then patch

3. Download runfiles http://www.filelodge.com/files/hdd4/...e/RunFiles.rar
Extract these runfiles in RO folder (Where you installed kRO Sakray)

4. Download data folder http://www.filelodge.com/files/hdd4/...a%20Folder.rar
Extract it in your RO folder (Where you installed kRO Sakray). Edit anything you want in the sclientinfo like your IP and stuff.

5. Download diffpatcher http://www.keepmyfile.com/download/970b58351003 Extract it somewhere.

6. Use the diffpatcher program and diff patch the sakexe that came with the diffpatcher program.

7. Go to your RO folder and find the file called DATA. It's a configuration file. You would see there
[Data]
2=data.grf
change it to
[Data]
2=sdata.grf

8. Now go to your athena folder and go into conf and open grf-files in the change anything needed especially the data.grf because we don't have that what we have is only sdata.grf
And then in the data_dir put there the location of your ragnarok.

9. Now run charserv logserv mapserv and run your hexed sakexe.exe and your should be able to play.

Credits go to people from andzRO and eAthena. Especially to the people who hosted the files.

Feel free to ask me any questions about this private server making. And sorry if I can't answer some of those questions

Does anyone know what the server load is ?
So what kinda server do you need for how many people to host ?
And also very important how much upload do you need to host a server ?

For example:
Let's say I want to host for 50 people.
I have a P4 2,6Ghz with 1024MB Ram.
I also have 1MB/s Upload.
Would that be enough ?

I would like to have some oppinions.
Or the specs from other people and for how many people your hosting ?

The files in step 3 and 4 are corrupted!!

oh yah... just a reminder that data folder is not very good. try downloading another private server's data folder and edit its sclientinfo coz that's what I did

First we start with downloading the files.

Download the latest version of MySQL Server
Mysql Download

Download the latest version of MySQL Administrator
MySQL Administrator

Step Two: Installation

If you had to download WinRAR, make sure you install that first.

1) Create a folder on your desktop called 'MySQL Setup'
2) Extract the MySQL archive you downloaded to 'MySQL Setup'
3) Go into your 'MySQL Setup' folder and run setup.exe
4) Click Next > Next > Next > Next > Finish

Now that MySQL is installed, we should install the Administrator.

1) Create a folder on your desktop called 'MySQL Administrator'
2) Extract the MySQL Administrator archive you downloaded to 'MySQL Administrator'
3) Go into your 'MySQL Administrator' folder and run setup.exe
