Sorry for bumping, but since you aren't on MSN currently, I'd like to point out something.

In the first step, you aren't exactly too clear on where to extract the files, so I'm a bit confused.

Also, could you go through this step-by-step? Some of us probably don't get what you're trying to say, especially those of us that are new to programming in general...

When you test your RO how is it suppose to look? When i test mine it theres a map with squares it doesn't even show your character or any thing else.

yeah hi guys i did evrything u told me to do and well when i run my server i get to login and character screen and when i try to get into the game i cant and when i check the vidar zone it says protocol doesnt allow 192.168.2.2 to connect so i went into vidar.ini and changed protocol to 0 and shuted down vidar zone vidar login vidar character ok and started it all again and when i checked the protocol it sais 1025 its weird i tryed changing it few times but it always changes itself to 1025 like its the default so plz tellme how do i change the default protocol to 0 plz help

hey anyways ive figured the 1025 defaulting hehe it was caus i didnt shut down the vidar before i changed the vidar.ini file anyways evrytime i try to go to the vidar zone it says connection refused your protocol doesnt allow 102.168.2.2 to connect

and in my vidi.ini i changed my ip to 192.168.2.2 and now i can atleast go to the character screen

Before I even ask my question....YES I know RO is super popular, YES I know my knowledge of hardcore programming is low...but I would appreciate some honest help.

I've checked another thread out and it helped a good deal, but what I need is someone who is willing to basically walk me through this. I have Vidar, greated a GM. I had downloaded another private server a while back, so I am guessing i'm going to need to get rid of it. Do I need just basic RO and Sakray? After I change the sclientinfo, what client do I run to connect to my server? I would love to basically copy the last private server I was on (And do some edit's of course) and run mine the same way. The server I wanna run is for close friends and what not, if anyone could PM me, or reply here with a step-by step tutorial, i'd be forever greatful. I'm new to this, but i'm not a complete idiot. I'm looking forward to getting this started

i have a problem with my server, i use eathena hope someone can help me....
no matter what weapon or class i am im always with that white clothes i think its from gm, even in a account that is not a gm i keep using that clothes and a sword that never changes too
someone know what the problem is???
