Hmmmmm I'll make upa guide for you, hope it helps!

1. Go here and download the latest version of vidar http://vidar.sigh.org/Vidar.EMU/vInstall.rar (it's the direct link)

2. Install it, just click agree and next and put your ip in where it says to (go to www.whatismyip.com for it incase you don't already know it)

3. The default vidar folder is in My Computer-->Program Files-->Vidar just double click on Vidar character, Vidar zone and Vidar login, but before that you need to make an account so download this, it is a account maker I found on the official vidar forums. http://it.geocities.com/lordro_serve...C_LordEdit.zip

4. Just enter in all the reuired stuff and make a GM account if you wish by clicking create gm and checking all the powers you want.

5. Load all the vidar things, log in and your ready to go!

Come to the GM house and give me suggestions about the server and report anyone breaking the rules

Well have to say thanks to megabaman, They have a new Vidar right now on the site beta 6,
really awesome, but most people are like how do i install or how do i create my own private server,
well as megabaman was saying he put it very clear but heres a simple recap about it, So just for starters lets say you
download everthing like the 1.Vidar EMU beta 6
2.Vidar Database files 3.Lord Acount creator(veryuseful)
Now your probably wondering about the client? Well very simple if you play ragnarok on private servers,
usually when you download the private servers XML file and have installed it into your data folder where it reads it has a
name like Sclientinfo? find out which sakray or Sakexe client runs that Sclientinfo? then you go into the XML file called
Sclientinfo
and edit the following in Vidar.ini:
1.IP=(Your ip goes here)
2.Name=Vidar(change it to what ever)
3.Address=(there default is 0 but put in the address or ip to where its going to be hosted)
4.portsv1=6900(you may change but leave if it works)
5.portsv2=7000(default)
6.portsv3=4500(default)
Now edit the following in Sclientinfo.XML :

its tough at first, but since i like to tinker and have no real experince in this client maker,
this is what i did and it worked after reading countless sites just to get onto my server and play either wise you can make

u guys can right click on the link inside the webpage n save target as.later u can edit it with notepad.

also u guys can play the current server there.the rate are quite high which is 300/300/1000 (Base/Job/Drop)
also there are npc selling almost anything n cheap too.

im a user of vidar beta 6 which already have updated. vidar is an updated version of daekweiss. once you install vidar beta 6, you can delete daekweiss folder.

note: "you can only use vidar if you have ragnarok offline cd."

this message consist of step how to get your own updated offline. (vidar users only and a simple steps for newbie)

step 1:
go first to http://vidar.sigh.org/ website and download beta 6 and also version 82.7b6.

step 2:
install vidar to your offline folder(AndzRO). install first beta 6 and then version 82.7b6 in the same folder(vidar folder). click Levelup folder -> Ragnarok folder(install it inside)

step 3:
you mustcreate your own account to play vidar through vData folder. click vData -> vPlayer -> then open vAdd.txt.

step 4:
inside vAdd.txt follow my example below.

UserName,Password,Gender, email,GMMode

example:
test,test,1,-@-,0 (<-- type this inside vAdd and save it)

explanation:
UserName = test
Password = test
Gender = 1 which would be male
email = -@-
GMMode = 0 -- not used when making Player Accounts

step 5:
to run Vidar offline, your going to open 3 application which is vCharacter, vLogin and vZone(wait for vzone to "startup success" before you minimize the 3 application). you can now click your AndzRO icon.

Final step:
if your failed to connect. it's because vidar uses a new protocol which is 1025 protocol. to make this fix with no problem, change your protocol to zero(0) in your vidar configuration setting (if you have no idea how to use 1025 protocol). your ip should be 127.0.0.1 only for solo player.

If you really want to see Vidar when you login, you only need to change "Daekweiss: Jer@nets" to Vidar in data folder(not database folder), and then open sclientinfo.txt.

change this -> <display>Daekweiss: Jer@nets</display> to
<display>Vidar</display > and then save it.

you can now PLAY vidar, just follow the step 5 and use your new account ^_^

The Guide

Part 1
First download this emulator here.
Extract it. Open it and go to the conf folder. Go to Map, Char, Login_athena.
Change the 127.0.0.1 to your IP. To get your IP go here. And change the BIND ip , which whould be 0.0.0.0., to 127.0.0.1 .


Part 2
ROuter settings need to be in place.
Go to Start Menu>Run>type "cmd">ipconfig

This **** should pop up.
Look for your LAN ip address.
Open Internet Explore. Type http://your ip here
so ex. http://192.168.0.1
Than a login should come up. Type "admin" for ID and nothing for PW. this is where you configure your router settings.

NOw in to the router we go...



Ok in the router setting you will see Applications.
Go into it and you will find a list of servers. Make a new server
like this:

Now you are done with the application.
Now lets start your Virtual Sever
Open Virtual Sever.

Do the same for the two Caracter-serevr and Map-server
but change the PORTS for Character-Server to 5121 and for MAP to 6121 and also change the names of the server.
Ok you are finished making a server.

How to make a GM.

Open "Save" in your athenaTXT. Go to accounts. And find the guy you want to be GM. In front of the name will be numbers.
EXAMPLE: 20002 blablabla
Now highlight the numbers and than copy it.
now exit the account and go to the conf files and go to GM_conf. go to a fresh line and paste the number and than press the space bar and than type "99".
Save and quit. YAY a GM!!!!!
