Xbox 60 GB HD to 160 GB
Whats up everyone.. Well I got an Xbox for xmas and I got it moded the next day I got it. I had a spare 60GB Western Digital HD so I decided to use it. I paid $120 to get a Xbox Xecutor2.3B Lite , xbox live switch and instal my Hd with 5,000 roms. Everything is working fine, I was able to backup 25 xbox games, but then I found out that the HD is too small. I got me a Brandnew 160 GB Maxtor. I Connected it to my PC and FTP the files from my 60GB HD in the xbox to my PC.. The whole process took about 3 hours. I viewed the file on the new 160 GB and compared it with the files of the 60 Gb.. Everything is the same. I then put it on my Xbox and I got a ERROR 13..I put the old 60 Gb HD and everything is fine.. What could be wrong? Can anyone please help me.. Thanks in advace

Re: Xbox 60 GB HD to 160 GB
Ok Can someplease direct me to the right forums where I could find how to upgrade my HD.. I currently have a Moded Xbox with a 60 GB HD. It has Xecutor 2.3B Lite with a Xbox live switch. The 60 GB HD is almost full and woulld like to upgrade to a 160 GB HD. What I would like to know is do I still need a evo disc since my xbox HD already has it? I also have the evo dash on my xbox already. Now, how do I transfer all the file from my 60 Gb HD to a 160 Gb HD. All the forums are talking about upgrading the STOCK XBOX HD to a Bigger HD. What I need is to REPLACE A 60 GB HD WITH A 160 GB HD. Thanks for all your guys help

Hello, GPvistan you dont need the evo disc if you have it in your hard drive , GPvistan you dont need to replace the 60Bm HD with 160GB HD i think so you can have 2 of them run at the same time ... its like a upgrade ... and Xecutor 2.3B lite is alrigth chip but if oyu get Xecutor (3X) you dont need to put a xbox live switch .. and also you dont need to transfer i think you can have 2 of them and use the new one for deiffent games ... i think i have helped you ... if you have anymore problems contact me at www.xboxpro.com

I wouldn't reccomend them, but even generic DVDs will work for the most part. CD & CDRW is where the trouble could arise.

Re: Xbox 60 GB HD to 160 GB
Xbox has three drives as most people know ...Samsung,Phillips and Thompson with Samsung being the best of the three only because they read cdr's. If you have a dvd burner ..all three drives will read them but Phillips being a bit picky with what dvdr brands you use. There are two revisions of the Phillips drives..one of them will read some brands while the others wont read those same brands. The two brands i do knwo that it will read are Compusa "princo" or Ritek brands..one of those two brands will work with both Phillips drives.
Also about HD, If you upgrade the xbox HD..you really dont need to back up the drive since you have the original HD removed from the xbox and kept safe for back up. With a Larger HD installed..its really impossible to mess anything up because you can just reformat it and reinstall apps, etc with Slayers Auto Installer 2.5. www.xbox-scene.com forums are good for this stuff.
I chipped my xbox already..infact i chip peoples xbox's all the time. Right now i current have no chip in my xbox since i did a TSOP flash so my xbox can run unsigned code with no chip now
