Computer Advise

Hey, well its that time again, where you are gonna be getting a new computer! That time that every one loves and hates! The love of going to the store/website to pick out and purchase the best computer for you!

Well im getting a new computer but i want a gaming one and i need adivse on brands and laptops or desktops!!

i was thinking alienware or voodoo but they are a little pricy!

Dell... well yeah... ive had one for a while and mine has been torture. there was always some new BAD thing to it...

HP: never had one and was wondering if good

Apple: ... why waste the money...

What do you Monstergamers recommend for a GOOD gaming computer.

I would go with either Alienware or Voodoo as you have previously stated. Keep in mind that Alienware is now owned by Dell, but I haven't heard of their products going downhill since. Might want to check out PC World, they do reviews on computers often, or Cnet (just make sure to check the dates of the reviews, as anything older than 6 or so months is a waste of time).

Go with alienware (if you want to spend a fortune of money) or build your own. Much higher performance, and a lot cheaper.
If you aren't to computer knowledgeable to build your own, you can go to a local computer hardware store and have them build it for you.
Trust me mate, if you want a great gaming computer, you should go with this.
Parts you need to purchase;

- Graphics card
- Processor (CPU)
- Motherboard
- Power supply
- Ram
- Tower (case)
- Disk drive
- Hardrive

If you want any advice on what "type" of parts to get or "brands" of parts to get just ask mate.

Well my brother build his computer so i could ask him to help me out building it, but i am CLUELESS when it comes to brands for the parts you listed. what brands do you recomend??

Hey hey hey... Apple why waste the money

Im an Apple guy. But honestly, for gaming, I think Alien Ware is the best. However I must say, I do not game on computers much. Im more of a console guy. So Ill let others chime in if Im wrong, but seems like Alien is the way to go.

Ohh... And be nice to Apple, thats all I own!

I just got a new Dell which is pretty decent but cost a fair bit. I only went with them because they offered the best on site warranty. If you're not getting a warranty you might want one of the sites where they build a custom one for you (I only know UK examples).

If you want a pre-built gaming machine I would have to recommend Alienware but there's always the other option of building your own machine. It's not really that hard and you get total control over the components used in the machine.

Don't do ALIENWARE. They're overpriced machines now. Not like the start of the Millenium. GO VOODOO. Or build your own rig.

Build own all the way. Mine runs like a dream.
Much cheaper to build own, instead of buying some **** hardware because it has "DELL" stamped on the front of it.
