I'll be playing four soon. Am re-playing through 1-3 again, to refresh my memory.

How far are you now? Beat it?
That's why I didn't buy it right away, temptation would get to me.

Re: Games that had good Storylines
I finished it yeah during my exams lol I played more than I studied but hell now I'm back on my lovely metal gear online which I was away from since the beta!
I don't mind not having replayed all the metal gears since I have already played 1 2 3 and the portable ops 1 so I just watched the retrospectives for a summary of the story and got right in the 4, ofc there are a few names that will take a few minutes to remember but it didn't hamper me at all 100% worth it, best game I've played in the last 3-4years

Is online that good? Servers must be packed.
I cannot wait to play it.
I'm glad MGS4 did so well. Great series.

Re: Games that had good Storylines
Bold comparison, to source. PS3 is getting a lot of online shooters; Socom Online, Killzone II, Resistance FoW II, MGS4 Online.

Re: Games that had good Storylines
Where can you get a breakdown of the MGS storyline?

Re: Games that had good Storylines
mgs database on psn too.
Yeah it's a bit bold and I don't think I'm going to stick with it, but the online is real nice! It's different, you can sneak/rush/mix of both and you play how you want to play. You can have fun making your enemy fall asleep or choke them then simply kill them or make em fall over with a rolling barrel. And then it's also tactical so that's what I like it isn't too much GO! and SPRAY N PRAY! like ut3 was for me and people say CoD4 was a bit tactical but I don't find it is much. It's slower but people will still just go kill respawn. MGO is quite slow compared to others but I'm loving it and it has good modes, customization, chat system is working nicely too so right now I'm really enjoying it... hell I've already played it 6h+

Re: Games that had good Storylines
Yeah, I read and heard some on it. Isn't a large portion of it team effort? You sometimes have to work as a team to defeat the enemy. Its far different from your average third person shooter, maybe a cross between socom online, gears of war online, and splintercell. I will be playing it eventually, normally I don't log much time into a console online, besides maybe; Gears online, or warhawk. We'll see.

Re: Games that had good Storylines
I'd have to say Metal Gear Solid 3, outta the whole series. I mean, that game made me feel. Not like 2, which just seemed like a game to me, or four, which seems (though I've only watched someone play it) just like a game to me; 3 actually made me feel the characters. I damn near became a blubbering vagina when I had to
Warning :: Spoiler Ahead! kill the Boss myself, rather than let a cutscene do it.
Other than that? Assassin's Creed, CoD4, GTA4...DOOM3 (Somehow, I'm the only one who understands it...)...that's about it for the moment. Being 20 and all, I don't really remember too many of the old-school games.

Doom III was good, and scary as hell, on the PC.
