GTA IV - Page 2

I got it, and don't see what all the hype is about. Don't get me wrong, it's a brilliant game. But they seem to have put too much effort into the small things, and not enough into the bigger, more important things.

As for the "it takes forever to complete" myth, I completed it in 6 days...

Its the little things that count in games mate. The little, incredible details that build the bigger picture.

GTA perfected that.

As for taking forever to beat, ha, shortest one. San Andreas was twice as long.

I Got It, I Must Say, I Was Right In The Middle Of The Hype, So I Gotta Say It Was A Little Disappointing, But It Was Damn Fun For About 30 Hours, And Its Still Kinda Fun After That..Especially If You Play Online...

The problem is, there are so many of those little things for anyone to care about. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but I just think it could have been much better.

And if I remember right, I completed San Andreas in 8 days

I mainly liked the story, this GTA game was a Scarface style of a story.

Some memorable characters.
Nico is my favorite GTA protagonist so far.

I played it at a friends house and we beat it but it wasn't much fun.... 10 hours with friends would have been more fun actually...

Meh, such an epic story, in my opinion.
Nico is just such a great character. One of the most "real" characters I've seen in a game.

I think we could have been good with flying planes and parachuting again. Ugh. If they could do it in San Andreas why couldn't they put it in IV.

I bought it played it 5 times and I am done...great game I just don't have the time to play it and when I do have time to game I like to play Call of Duty 4 until I fall asleep and Bioshock. So I have time just not time for GTA IV....

i want to sell it to my friend how much should i ask for it? its like new only been played 5 times?

I'd suggest starting the price to him at 50, then work your way down.

Agree with you mate. The game is great. I don't know what all this people complain about and what else they can expct of this game. If you didn't like the game 100% that's fine, because nothing in life is perfect, but you have to admit the game was good and admire the effort this people put in those little details someone was talking about. This, in my opinion, is one of the best games I've played and the best GTA so far. I had a great time with it, i've been playing it since I bought it, already beat it, but still wanna play it, specially online.

Not saying this is better than COD 4 or Bioshock, because in my opinion those two are the best games I've played to this day, but it's a great game.

Lots of fun, I highly recommend it....

Back on topic i loved GTA4 but i really wish they had added planes and more things to spend your money on or just generaly do.
I found my self getting bored once finishing the story, which is something a sandbox game shouldn't leave me feeling.

LOL. No, I actually got a life... And I remember saying that was my opinion, I wasn't trying to convince anyone. Just giving my opinion. So there's no need to start an argumen about which game is better, because that's not what this thread is about...

And about GTA and the money thing.... True, they should have added more places or stuff to spend the money you make from all those missions.

Whats having played games before 2005 got to do with me having a life?..

Also i don't see why they went backwards with GTA4 and took things like push bikes and all the customization you could do out... just kinda lame since every other GTA has added more and more things to do and then suddenly they take allot of it out.

Bloody great game mate, one of my favorite FPS of all time.
I found myself getting bored at a couple parts in the game, but then I got back into the story and was so into the Irish family. Planes would have been a nice touch considering the previous game (San Andreas) had them.
