A thread needs to be closed if it has gone out of control in terms of spam/flamming or is completely inactive. Or if someone resurrects an old thread.

Those are the only acceptable reasons for closing threads. If your statement is true, then evidence is always appreciated.

Here..Loop is the victim of a forum form of reverse discrimination..Add power trip to the mix and I do believe censorship might be the cold hard fact of the matter. I , for one, feel that Loop is being repressed!

If it gets back on topic after a few posts then its alright. If it stay as spam and flames for the rest of the page or sometihng, then its a problem. Thankfully, we have the useful few on the staff that keep everything in check.

It took a turn or two but kept going back on topic. When MODS and ADMINS. engage in said banter which leads to the derailment of a topic..whose bad is that? By that logic, the patients are running the assylum...

Take a page from Steve's book...Post that it is getting off topic and go from there. Do not engage in the same behavior which is later (meaning a post then a close) condemned.
