Discuss Macs itt!
Well, my mom and dad bought a new iMac computer. It arrived today, and I set it up for them, and it works flawlessly. Fast too. 2.4ghz processor, Intel core 2 duo, 2 gb ram ddr 2, 350 gb hard drive. 20" widescreen glossy display, and a wireless keyboard and mouse. Sweet deal. Has a built in webcam and everything.
It beats a Windows computer any day.
I will work on getting one in a couple of months myself.  |

Pffft. I have been using nothing but Windows PCs since I was 10. I always wanted a MAC.
If anything, what you are saying is someone that doesn't know how to work a MAC.

^I hear you there Esta. The "Geek Squad" that works on my PC and the guys that some in to work are "MAC Elitists". They bow to all things MAC. A form of snobbery there. I understand that the MAC can be useful in preventing/thwarting a virus attempt, but the compatability issues...? They mumble their way through that one.
I was also taught and learned on a PC. It is a preference. |

I have used PC's all my life, wouldn't you think I would stand in Microsoft's corner?
Nope, Because I know better. By a Mac being less compatible, it makes it safer because people know if they made a virus for it, they wouldn't get the same results is with PC's.
MAC is a better OS, better graphics, better speed, and a higher standard. Pc's are great for compatibility, and being able to take them apart and add components and fix. I still like PC's, but not to the extent of a MAC. And I am well learned in both OS.

See above RE the OS, and as for the rest of it, more evidence that you really don't know what on earth you're talking about. The capability of the OS lends very little to the quality of the graphics, and the only reason that i can think of that an Apple OS would run faster is because Apple is obscenely proprietary. You can't just whack any old piece of hard/software into one and have it work. This is somewhat of a double-edged knife - Compatibility is all but assured, but there's very little in the way of variety.

Macs user friendly, dumbed down software, incredibly limited preferences and abilities.
