If you dont want it, fine, but why bag sony? They invited it for people who want it, and you clearly dont, so why complain about it?
As what was stated above, if you hate it because its sony, then do you hate Cds because they were invited by sony?

Re: HD DVD vs Blu Ray
I have a Sanyo tv, Sanyo dvd player, Sanyo VCR, Northgate Notebook, Only Sony I have and I give a good rating on is a set of headphones. I don't completely hate Sony, My parents have a Sony tv and it is nice, but i really like Samsung, Polaroid, and RCA isn't bad, and Philips.

A minute ago you supported HD DVD, now you dont support either and are staying with DVD.
Make up your simple mind.

No they weren't, the DVD format was welcomed with open arms and a certain amount relief by the industry and consumers at large , reflected by the relatively short amount of time before the product was popular and became a staple appliance in most households.

Your lack of careful study amazes me. I said I support HD DVD. But I am not buying until I know what is going to happen to it. Until that time I stick with DVD, and I pledge full support for HD DVD to be continued.

You don't seem to look past the people of England. I heard complaints from many Americans, people in my neighborhood were complaining. If you check it out on a search engine, youa good number of people giving points of vhs being better than dvd.

2. your neighbors aren't representing the world on the matter of vhs/dvd.
3. you can find ANY opinion on anything on the net.

Anyone who thinks VHS is better than DVD is a morone. DVD is better than VHS in every category, they last longer, better picture/sound quality, no rewinding, more featues.
The only people that would complain are 80 year olds that dont like change.

That's not supporting it, that's sitting on the fence.
Which is what most people did, but YOU'RE still doing it even though the death knell has sounded for HD DVD.

Apart from Scar not being from England, YOU don't seem to look past the people of Mexico.
... I mean, America.

Re: HD DVD vs Blu Ray
I can't help HD DVD when I have no cash to do so. And what are you going on about? You never do anything about the things you care about. Be gone.
HD DVD may look out of it now, but it will return. I read reports about anyway, the only thing blu ray surpasses hd dvd in is darker colors. The sound on both were equal, there is less posterization on HD DVD. HD DVD load faster, and the menus are easier to control. The only reason movie companies are moving to blu ray is it's storage capacity It holds more, but is less quality then the other.
