I see it more as a fad these days, something people do to be cool. Loads of celebrities adopting it and such. In other words, it is a religion.

Speaking of Celebirities, many australian celebrities doing it too including James Packer (He owns Australia's big gambling and media companies and also One of Tom Cruise's best friend). I think people who joined Scientology like celebrities do is a sin.
