I can't be arsed mangling the quotes to reply to everything so I'll entrust you with enough wherewithall to know to which point I'm referring;

If Phatty gave me a compelling enough reason for me to believe in this religion of his, I may well do. I'm not anti-theism per se, I'm just not going to live my life by it for no reason - I don't need it to give me a sense of ethics or morals, base humanity tends to work just fine.
It's much the same as not putting too much stock in the TV program heroes. Just because someone there threw himself off a building and flew, I don't now believe I can. Maybe I can, but without a reason to think so I'm not about to hurl myself to the ground from a great height, and try to miss.

As for the PS3, name me its must-have games, its console-shifters, its Halo 3s, its Bioshocks. I can only think of Call of Duty 4 and even that's multi-platform. Those people I know who have the PS3 ensconced in their houses at this very moment agree with me.

Also, I take it that was $259? Now with the current $/£ ratio that should be more like £130 or so? Nah, it'll be more like £359, not only because of the misguided American notion that $1 always equals £1, but that the UK is one of the most heavily-taxed places in the world.

I do not see you ever giveing his opinions any thought just rebuke. He has answered some questions with decent if not at least compelling answers. Actually if you read case for christ then you would get your answers but thats another post. Ps3 must have games. Well no game on any system is a must have game to all gamers. But some of the top quality games on the ps3 only are

Drakes uncharted, heavenly sword. Warhawk. all three are fun plays all three are very differnt games. Oh and Motorstorm is a very fun off road racing game better than any like it on the 360, handsdown. Now I am a huge 360 fan but ill tell you I dont feel Halo3 is a must have game, the campaign is mediocore and not a fun replay, the multiplayer is its redeeming quality. Bioshock bored me, but was freaking beautiful, and I hate CoD4 except in multipllayer, but thats only because I don't like FPS games with real life stuff. I prefer high tech future guns and aliens and such. Thats soley personal prefrence. Oh and if you like Call of duty, Resistence Fall of man is a great game only on the ps3.

You can't fault Sony for the fact you are so heavily taxed. I know nothing,(nor care nothing ) of money conversions. Simple fact is its cheaper than a 360 in some places here and about as much as a Wii if you get one used.(i mean the ps3) so the expensive argument it moot. Don't live in a country where things are so expensive. is one option.

But the conversation ahs left the fanboy arena. For the record I love microsoft, but I also like using Apples for production and such.

I love sony Ps3 and Wii and 360 I can't get enough technology and want to play all the games. so sue me. lol.

In this country you can get a 360 for £190 where as a PS3 is £290 at least (play.com is my source for those prices). I've never heard of a PS3 being cheaper than a 360. It's not Sony's fault we have a fair bit of tax, it's Sony's fault that their machine is that expensive.

do you guys have the ablity to buy quality used systems. I used to manage a gamestop I know the comapny is global, and have eb-games/gamestops all over the world. I paid 450 for my elite 360 with hdmi and all that cause it was badly what I wanted and traded my original release 360 for it. I paid 249 for my wii normal price, and 289 for a used 20 gb ps3. They dont make the 20gig one anymore so you should be able to find one cheap. Even on Gamestops website you can buy them used. Is there a difference between one bought here and one bought there? I thought Ps3 wasn't region Coded.

I do disagree on that Esta. Even it the console was used, only reason they get turned in os because of the player being disappointed in what he or she bought.

And Nin, I have to agree, I wouldn't mind having all the consoles, I prefer the Wii, but I am not afraid to buy the other two if I wanted them. They are all equally good.

Interesting you should say? This console war realy does lie inbetween the media war between blue ray and hd dvd.

The media format war has the potential to make or breack both the ps3 and xbox 360

I disagree, the 360 isn't that tied to the HD DVD format as it could just easily support blue ray with an external Blue ray player if they choose to. If anything it's a format war between Blue ray and DVD. If people really don't give a carp about hi def films then the PS3 is really quite screwed.

I would dissagree. In that scenario, the 360 is worst off and in no way will the ps3 be screwed. Just stop and think about it mate. The 360 is tied to the HD DVD, it was one main founder along with Toshiba. So, if Blu Ray wins, then Microsoft will be using Sony technology with their 360 - which would shut up all of the fanboys. And since Sony founded it, it will go from strength to strength. I think that this alone shows that Microsoft weren't thinking about the future, they just wanted the 360 out before the ps3, the HD DVD add on shows this.

If people don't give a **** about Hi Def films then fair enough, but that in no shape or form would 'screw' the PS3. For one, it plays DVDs, so it's not a problem. And people would not decide to not buy the console because the games are made on blu ray dics, they wouldn't give a monkeys.

And come to think of it, Microsoft are being a bit greedy with the prices for 360 games at £40 when they're just on a DVD but PS3 are the same price but use the much more expensive to develop Blu Ray Discs.

Rockstars future L.A. Noire is proof of that. The game might not make it to the 360 on account of size.

Blu-ray really isn't appealing to me. I could care less about it, and I am not going to buy a PS3 or Blu-ray player just to have it. Personally I think it is going to be a failure and I would rather have HD-DVD. Space or not, I would choose to have a really big game on a couple discs then one, mainly if there was damage, I would still have the other disc with half the game rather than lse all of it. Besides, after 30 days you can't get your money back for that game, or get it swapped with another copy if yours does not work. You can only trade it for a different game. You get where I am going with this.

both HD's look the same... don't argue abot it. Both have companies that soley use them. The 360 doesn't fall or stand on HD at all. Thats a side add on. A cheap way to get HD dvd but you have to have an HDMI supporting 360 i.e. the elite or such, to use it correctly. Blu-ray scratches so easy its stupid.

We buy ps3 for ps3 games, blu ray is a nice extra, same with 360.

Porn industry choose to go HD, so maybe it will always bee both and you will have to buy both thats America for you. Or get this you can not buy HD anything and not buy and HD tv. At least un till they only broadcast in HD. But DVD format will be around easily 8 more years. Its still too new to make Americans move off it. The just barely in the last 2 years reeduce video tapes. Two Xmas' ago all dvds had tapes you could buy. They take their time changeing over.

So now we have fanboys of Hd or Blu-ray lol. fun...

The HD DVD only being an add on was wise since it dramatically lowers the cost of the system and prevented them wasting 360 buyers money on a technology which is pretty much dead now. They 360 is not effected at all by the format war. It really doesn't matter if they do put blue ray players.

The PS3 was planned as a way of getting Blue ray into people's houses. If you aren't going to use your PS3 to play Blue Ray films then you are paying a hellovalot more for it, for not much reason. Sony are willing to take losses on the PS3 to get people to use blue ray but if people are happy with DVDs then that's not so great for sony. I'm not saying that means the end of the PS3 or anything I'm just saying it's a kick in the balls.

Lol your about 3 days late saying that. They've recently started hiring people to develop the 360 version.

There are always people who can make it fit and make it work better. Check the live arcade download undertow. Its 49mb and it easliy on par with some of the best games we play and pay 50 dollars for. grreat game, Game Informer even did a full page on the developer in last issue.

As to dead tech. Both will be around for a long time to come. So I buy what ever is only on blu ray on blu ray, and what ever is only on HD on HD and then when its on both I buy the better deal. If you don't have an HD tv the both formats are worthless. However if you dont have an HD tv then your gonna NEED one in about 2 yrs.
