Hey everyone...I have a job and just got paid my first check and am having a little trouble deciding what game to get for my PS3...

I'm saving for a car, so i decided to just get 1 game, but i keep second guessing myself, because too many times have I bought a game that looked good, but it ended up being bad...


I was just asking for a little advice cause i know there are a lot of good games coming out for the holiday season.

^Do you not care for the PS (Sony) consoles in general or have you played on the PS 3 and not cared for it?

I know it costs an arm and a leg without many games out at the moment but if it has potential and has good playing capabilities, what makes it be so beneath the XBOX?

Xbox360 for the time being is better, but I prefer the Sony exclusifs except... Lost Odyssey ^^ but Honestly the Price of the ps3 is more expensif in switzerland but, xbox360 + online + antenna+ hddvd starts arriving at the price of a ps3... only difference is the sony forces it down your throat unlike Microsoft...

I got a ps3 for me, because xbox360 is in brothers room, sick of having to uptade my PC none stop, and I refused a wii cause only 2 games interest me, Guilty Gear and SSBB... not worth it and we already have an xbox360 in the house... So my last option with decent games to come was the ps3 and I don't regret it. I got enough games right now to please me, where as on xbox360 there are less games that interest me.

Well, I've been away a loooong time and decided to come on again today. I have just recently bought a car and know how expensive it is, I have just had to spend over £500 getting it back on the road so I have been really busy.

Right, now to the topic of your thread.

It depends on if you want to play your games online or what not. But if you don't, deffinately buy Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. IMO it is one of the best games I have played - I absolutley loved every minute of it, it is my second favourite game ever after Metal gear Solid and I have played LOTS of games.

Honestly the graphics are absolutley stunning, the gameplay is awsome and the storytelling is some of if not the best you'll ever see. The game honestly blew my mind. And it isn't on the Xbox 360 (that dosn't really matter though tbh).

You have Call Of Duty which is amazing for online play, Assassins Creed is good but it gets repetitive VERY quickly, which is why (over here anyway) the price has been reduced to the price of new PS2 games as it isn't selling too great. There are lots of good games out there, ratchet and clank is awsome, the orange box as mentioned above. I personally would strongly recomment Uncharted, but its up to you and its your preferance.

And don't buy an Xbox 360 - its a terrible piece of machinery. Even all of my closest friends (five of them) who were 360 fanboys and slagged me for having a PS3 and now realised that the 360 is terrible and have bought a PS3. One of my friends just bought an Xbox 360 Elite because his old 360 broke and now completely regrets buying it. He bought a PS3 a month ago and hasn't touched the Elite since.

The 360 was better before, but now the graphics for both consoles are equal (with games looking better on PS3 than Xbox 360 - have a look on Video Game News, Video Game Previews, Video Game Reviews, Xbox Games, PlayStation Games, PC Games ) the PS3 will come into its own next year. Make no mistake about it.

heavenly sword is a good middle of the road hack and slash if you like that genre you'll enjoy it.

there are some good games to get you through.

i know everyone will jump down my throat but this comment goes to show differnt people like differnt thing, I like the game Lair. I like air combat, and I own every game where you control a dragon. I am in love with dragon and dragon games. If you wanna save some money and get a ps2 game I recommend Drakkongard, its a very good game.

there is at least one game from each genre that you should like.
