i just orded a gamecube so i don't have one yet but i think the best game for the cube is metroid prime

Easily Metroid Prime
But Resident Evil, Zelda: the Wind Waker and Eternal Darkness come very close.
There are so many others but they are the best.

starfox adventures

for the worst game on gamecube:
wreckless the yakuza missions (xbox port)
