Re: Wii so hard to find
^Supply and Demand. That pesky economic principle and immutable law that keeps the price up so the corporate machines may sate their greed.
Did you try e-bay? Pricegrabber? They usually have a surplus with more reasonable pricing.

Re: Wii so hard to find
I found it hard the same time last year. But I reckon its a 1000 times worse now.
To be honest, I'd wait because there are no descent games out for it. Only Mario Galaxy I'd say

Re: Wii so hard to find
This is the first console i have ever seen do this for such long time now, it is becoming very frustrating that people buy just to re-sell them.
NINTENDO, you need to release the console already now. I know it is supply and demand, but i do think it is time to let every one have one now...
Every console now a days do this and i expect it, just hate fighting the people in line just to get the answer "We just sold the last one for right now"
I know i am ranting and should be in the anger forum

Re: Wii so hard to find
^Sorry Monster, I glanced at the first post, I did not realize that you had done the E-Bay thing.
Check out this site:
Nintendo Video Games - Wii Console - 045496880019
They have them for under $500, no tax and usually free shipping. I have bought digital cameras from here, my sis just bought a HDTV, neighbor has bought electronics...all of us have been really pleased. Not refurbished either (unless staed as such). It might be worth a look.

E bay is my only suggestion but it sounds WAY to expensive.

Agree. Nintendo doesn't have any new to offer. The only decent thing they have are the Mario games. Specially Mario Galaxy.

Re: Wii so hard to find
Perhaps it is just better to hold off onpurchasing that system for now and wait for the prices to come down and for them to create more games.
The brother might be the recipient of a Plan B present this Christmas. It happens to everyone more than once.

Re: Wii so hard to find
^It was on my Christmas list (360) but to tell you the truth I am inclined to feel the same way. I can't see someone spending that type of money for what is offered for it at present. I made my list a while ago (September?) and have let the right people know that it is not worth it. Judging from the reactions of relief, no one went and got it.
I am just looking for a used, old school x-box now and I will use e-bay for that one.

Re: Wii so hard to find
What happened with the Wii? ^
Winning one would be a truly beautiful thing! Sell it for an arm and a leg to the desperate then use the proceeds to buy your brother one and spend the additional proceeds on a Christmas gift to yourself!
I wish you had your original x-box as well. I would just as soon buy one from someone I trust. E-Bay is great but it can be iffy.
