oh definitely, I should probably take afrench class or two so i can watch more and not have to ead the subtitles.

Audrey Tautou plays Amélie Poulain, the main character of the movie. The second lead is Nino Quincampoix played by Mathieu Kassovitz. Audrey Tautou is an excellent actress - she's been in a few English films as well. Amélie was her big break, though - it was nominated for 5 oscars.
French is quite a complex language, I agree, but once you get used to the male/female and the verb endings, it's definitely worth learning. It flows off the tongue much better than English, in my opinion.
