ITT, ask Phatbowser questions about religion.

Who created God?
Why are there so many people who aren't as 'The Lord intended'? If God has control of the people, why does he let this happen?

Re: HEY, PHATBOWER!

I believe that God created man..100%!! I also believe that he created all in the Universe. The good, the bad and the ugly. One can not embrace the concept of good (in my case I mean God) without acknowledging the presence of evil (whatever form Lucipher takes on these days).

God does not make garbage. People act of free will and mess up Gods plans for them...just an opinion. A belief that I choose to embrace. Faith, remember, by definition .....Is believing in something that you can not see......

Re: HEY, PHATBOWER!

1. It is hard to comprehend, but God has always existed. He doesn't have a beginning. He always moves in the past and future.
2. You can put the blame on Adam and Eve. Because of there fall, the seed of man is not perfect. God did not intend it to be this way, but He did not want to destroy His creation, so He has given us the free right to choose to serve Him, or go our own way. He does not force us to do anything, and allows us free will.

As for satan, I hate what he is, but I don't hate him, he was an angel at one time. Because of his fall, he is doomed to eternal damnation, thus I must be against him otherwise I am damned as well.

Why then do some Christians accuse others of being anti-god (or something like that) when they do things, that essentially are, free will? How can it be anti-god if God gave us the choice? If anything, it's pro-god.

God gives us a choice, but He tells us that of we choose our will, He cannot look upon what we do, thus you are damned to hell.
It is only fair IMO, He made us after all. I would have already sent my creation to hell. God is too kind to a people that are not deserving of it.

Sometimes I feel that our hell might be right here on this ball of wax.

Re: HEY, PHATBOWSER!

I don't believe in any super natural force. It's all coincidence? (not sure of the spelling sorry). The bigbang happened, followed by many many years of evolution leading to us and will finish with us once the earth is destroyed, or something happens i.e meteorite collision, extermination by ourselves etc... or something else will happen who knows what.

But I don't believe in God, the Devil, heaven or hell... When I die, I die nothing else... Souls don't go anywhere, if we do something bad in life we aren't punished in the after-life we should just go to jail. There is no god, nobody made me, I am just another step in evolution mixed with the genes of my parents. Gods tend to disapear along time once science discovers the truth. The Gods of thunder started to die after we figured out what lightning really was, etc... There are things we cannot explain but one day we might be able to explain them. So far there is no proof of god. And if their was a god why would he let us be as such. If he does exists (which I doubt he does) I'll be going to hell yay, I don't caire, but then why doesn't he stop mass murders in their tracks? Strike them down if they are going to kill 50 people... or maybe his humour is just twisted and has fun seeing that...

Science leads us to believe otherwise, and I believe in facts not faiths.

He seems to have done alright for himself, what with ruling Hell 'n all, offering mortals many things to sate their desires. God doesn't do that.

Also I'd rather blame God for Adam and Eve's little faux-pa, considering God is supposed to be all-knowing, why did he make creations that can't resist a talking snake?
In fact, if He;s so all-knowing, why did he make angels who could defy him? Surely he'd know it would happen?

I am not religious, but I do think I can answer that question. He did it because God wanted to have his creations to be able to choose by themselves. He didn't want them to be simple puppets, controlled by him, to only do what he wants them to do.

That being said, I can't say I believe in God. However, I don't rule out the possibility of the existence of a God, not of a Heaven or Hell. They could exist, but we really don't have any prove they do, and probably never will ulessl someone would 'return fro the dead' somehow. But I don't see that happening any time soon.

It's not MUCh of a choice when it comes down to His way or Hell, is it?

There's a difference between 'His way' and doing exactly what he wants you to do. There's a difference between doing bad thing (which would give you a one way ticket to Hell, or at least Purgatory for a few years) and not doing what God wants.

e.g.: Murder, opposed to not believing in God.

If you would murder someone, you'll probably end up in Hell, while not believeing in God does not. Yet God gave you the choice to either believe in him or not, he will not punish you if you don't. Therefor you don't have to follow His way.

But that's just common sense. Yet we have people like Phatty who decree that just being a good person isn't enough, you have to acknowledge the existence of an invisible sky wizard.

Re: HEY, PHATBOWSER!

Well, I'm new here, so I haven't met this Phatty person yet. Nor have I seen his opinion. H

owever, there is nothing in the Bible that states you will burn in Hell for not believing in God. Saying that is like returning to the Medieval era and making crusades against the 'heathens'.
