Re: Elite edition or normal 360?
I would go for the Elite Steve. The HDMI cable is $40 or $50 anyways so if you can make use of it I would go that route. That means you only pay around $50 for the extra hard drive space, and the black would probably look better with the rest of your electronics.

Re: Elite edition or normal 360?
Its worth it to get the Elite Because of all the reason stated above. Most of all if you are in to High Def gaming. If your like me and you love the vividness of HD then get the Elite, assumeing your tv has an HDMI port. Otherwise your elite is a black premium. It does come with a very good HDMI cable and those are at least 50 bucks alon. I swap mine between my Elit and my Ps3 because I don't have enough money to buy another one for the Ps3 wich of course didn't come with one, or even composite for that matter. I run my Wii through YPBR or compsoite, i love HD and the HDMI is def better lookin than any thing else You can see the differnce wwith the naked eye. Oh and if you have the HD drive, then it will upscale you HD to if you have the HDMI cable. Black is better than white too. it looks great, I have a white one in my room ,, and we have the Halo 3 one in the game room. (again it has the port but no cable)
Most of all the Elite has 120gb hard drive I have used 70 gigs already lol.
i know it sounds like I have more money than I should but Its due to haveing roomates, and tradeing in everything I can when I can. oh and it helped working for the Nations biggest video game company for quite a while and using my discount. anyway theres my long of it.

Re: Elite edition or normal 360?
I have a Premium since dec 06 and it still works very well. I think VGA cable i have does have similar visual quality to HDMI but HDMI is better for it's looks.

Re: Elite edition or normal 360?
I am going to trade my old 360 for an Elite, it just seems the right way to go and it looks coo. You also can't beet a 60 gig hard drive, great for downloading movies and you are now able to download xbox games and they will continue to put more and more online for you to grab.

Re: Elite edition or normal 360?
the elite is 120 gb hard drive.... not 60... i only have 30 gb left on mine, so i am glad its not a 60 gig. Def the best 360 out to date....
