Well, i bought this game yesterday and i already finished it lol. I don't know whether the game is too short or i just beat it really fast, but it only took me a bunch of hours. If you buy the Limited Edition of the game, make sure you check both disc. There are rumors some disc from limited edition are scratched.

The story for the game is a bit confusing. But it doesn't matter 'cause the gameplay pwns! Anyways, i would like to know what you guys think of the game...

I'll say what I thought of the game after tomorrow. I don't have enough spare cash right now to get it but two of my friends have copies so 4 of us are going to play link up co-op through all the story and have a fair bit of multiplayer.

Also, anyone who spoils the story not using spoiler tags will be banned before they can blink.

Mine came at about 6:30am. Played it for an hour or so at 3pm after I woke up.

by the Gods, I'm bad at this. And by bad I mean awful.
That said, really the only reason I bought it wad to play as an Elite in Multiplayer. Which I'm even worse at.

What, nobody here playing it?

So far the game seems to have lots of stuff to keep you busy. You have the unlockables for Multiplayer, so you can customize your Spartan or Elite any way you want to. You also have to look around for some Skulls hidden through out the map, which suppostly have powers or something. Multiplayer is awesome! My favorite part of the game so far.

After playing about 9 or so hours today with my friends and beating it on legendary co-op I can say this is one awesome game.

I wasn't gonna get it since i'm not a big fan of halo but how can i not, seems every Xbox 360 owner is gonna purchase Halo 3, plus i really enjoy playing Halo online since the first came out for PC. Anyway my copy arrived this morning so i've only completed the first mission, will post my thoughts later.

Apropos of nothing, does anyone know if the Elites in Multiplayer are weaker than the Spartans? Seems the only time I've actually done well in an MP match was as a Spartan, which is a bit of a ***** since I only bought the game to play as an Elite.

I don't really think they have any difference. I've seen people playing as Elite online and they're actually pretty good. I don't see the point of making one weaker. Most people play with the Spartans because they want to play as "Master Chief". I haven't really noticed any difference but i don't know, maybe it's just me.

Well, yes. That'd be my reasoning too, except for the HUGE ratio difference between Spartan and Elite.

I suppose it's Alliance:Horde all over again.

I know from tips, to stay alive, hide and use your surroundings. There are some enemies that when you kill them, they explode sending millions of little parasites everywhere.

The differences between elite and spartan in multiplayer are only cosmetic.

Those would be the flood.

i got mine on wednesday at 7am lol thats the earliest ive been up in a while lol got to say its one of the best games ive ever played..seems a bit short though my self and 3 mates got through the campaign on legendary in like 8 hours (including loo breaks) but the multiplayer is the best thing about it, ive been on it constantly since wednesday lol hopefully the record breaking sales of the game will make fox and peter jakson pull the finger out and get the movie made..would be an awesome way to tie up the halo saga

It's alright.

Campaign was too short, and too easy. The fact that you have four people instead of two really softens the difficulty. The difficulty seems as if it was already softened anyways. It also felt very rushed toward the end of the game as well. The level designs was awesome, but two of the clips before the level starts used a picture background instead of the 3D rendered backgrounds like all the other ones did. Someone didn't keep up with the schedule...

They also changed how the skulls work in the game as well. In Halo 2, you pick up a skull and once you reset your Xbox, it's gone. In Halo 3, you pick up a skull and you have it forever. But most of the skulls in Halo 3 actually make the game harder, like giving the enemies double health and taking away your radar. Some of are fun as well, like the old school "Birthday Party Grunt Mode", where you shoot a grunt in the head and confetti pops out and you hear a whole bunch of kids yell, "Yay!!!". Also, just like the soccer ball in Halo 2, they added an easter egg in the game on the first level. You can't do anything with it, it's just kinda creepy.

The cosmetic settings in multiplayer show some level of play as well. Like if you see anyone that looks like they have a Power Ranger helmet, they found all the skulls in the game. If they have a katana on the back of their armor, they have achieved 1000 gamerscore points in the game. Although the achievements in this game aren't anything out of reach, they take some time but definitely achievable to anyone.

All I have to say is: play it on Legendary. The ending to Legendary is slightly different from any of the other endings on any other difficulty. The extra clips that you get from Legendary are shown after the credits, so stick around and enjoy. Otherwise, prepare for somewhat depressing ending.

The Campaign on Legendary isn't that easy.... Also if you activate all the skulls you're entering a world of pain, specially in solo mod. You probably though it was easy because you played co-op with 3 more guys.

I like Alternative ending, so thanks for letting us know this game have one as well. I hope Master chief doesn't die, i want more Halo games... We also have Halo Wars comming out, anyone knows the release date?
