MGS4 Possible on Xbox 360
Konami's Hideo Kojima says hardware is no longer an issue.

In a recent Web interview with Hideo Kojima, the master of all things Metal Gear Solid explained that creating Metal Gear Solid 4 is technically possible on Xbox 360.

Kojima said with the exception of nuances or small details, the power of next generation hardware (and the PC) no longer provides the technical restrictions they did before. Kojima also explained in a sideways manner why the Xbox never saw a version of Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater. He explained that he has no grudge or dislike for the Xbox or Xbox 360, but last year he and his team had their hands full with MGS3. Other Konami teams, he said, were able to get their hands on the Xbox 360 tools before him. It's his philosophy that he wants to be first, not second on the early development for a system, which is why he chose PS3.

When IGN contacted Konami America today, the representative said, "there are no new developments or news to share about any Metal Gear products coming to Xbox or 360."

We'll relay any new MGS3 or MGS4 news if and when possible.

Not against X360, but will you guys give this a rest already? I've even read stupid news on how theres not gonna be PS3 version at all..or how they're gonna release the X360 port before PS3.

Seriously, are you guys this stupid? Do you think Kojima is gonna wonder about how he's gonna make the game work on X360 instead of focusing on the PS3? And don't pull that but-Kojima-is-greedy **** on me.

Why does it matter anyway? I'd rather play the original then a toned-down port.

This will not happen. Xbox does not get MGS, that's to far.
Also 1up takes everything and spins it into fact rather than a rumor, which is what it really is.

PS still has MGS and FF, plus all of the new exclusives coming out.

Even though I find it highly unlikely that it will not be released for the 360, there is still a good chance for it to be released on it. Why should it always stay on the PS? I would love to see a MGS on Wii too. That would rock. And hey, if its made for the PS3 and then a port for the 360, so what? big deal. If you have a PS3 you can play the original designed-for-PS3 version, and if you have a 360, which is also cool but not my style, you can play it too, although it'll be a toned-down port.

My point? Do I have one? Oh yes. Who cares.

I could understand that it goes on all because the xbox has sold alot more units, but that it first goes on xbox360 is a joke. They spent their first years in developpement on ps3 and hey lets forget about our original project and make it first on xbox360... It's like Haze was first for ps3 so it'll be best on ps3, EA sports game all are first made for xbox360 making the xbox have better framerate in most of them. But FFXIII will be ps3 exclusif followed by small FF games on all consoles, FF CC2 for Wii, another one for xbox360 (unknown title I think), but the main course is still on PS3 like Ninja gaiden sigma on ps3 but Ninja Gaiden 2 (main course) on xbox360 (that's all that was announced so far). And so what even if it goes on both? It won't disapear from the ps3 library so just get it on the console you want...

Yes, and MGS4 actually coming out for the 360 is also a joke. As a friend of mine pointed out that it is a lot of work porting MGS4..have you seen the trailers? Its better then some animated movies I've seen.

Dude, the MGS parts before this one have all been released on the psone and the PS2.

So its kinda strange that they would bring it out on the Xbox360.

The reason Zelda is impossible is become it's nintendo while MGS is konami =) but I doubt sony will let this happen they'd pay for it to stay, I doubt that MGS 4 is going on xbox360, a remade snake eater maybe but no chance mgs4, so what kojima said he liked the xbox360 and that it could go on. The thing is that it's a ps3 exclusif and is gonna stay like that but there might be a port of an older one like twin snakes on GC.

erm, no. they have been ported to the PC and Xbox.

Kinda strange, yes. But, if they are willing to spend a lot of money on a port (which is unlikely), then there can be a MGS4 port. Its not impossible......improbabl e.

I don't think it's that unlikely afterall sells of the PS3 have been pretty **** and MGS4 is a expensive game to make releasing it on the XB360 would help them recoup some extra money back from a larger fanbase.

Most likely they'll released a MGS4 special edition down the road like with MGS2 and MGS3 that'll be when we see a XB360 version.

Still don't see it happening. Creator of MGS has his heart against it from, some news on this topic that I've read.

Yes, but they won't say anything if they loose time and money if they make said port. Its just a waste.

A waste? to sell more copy of the game for minimum cost. A game that should easily make million sales on the Xb36o alone.

I will let you guys know hwat little inside info I get. I was a store manager for Gamestop, and still have good connections witht he district manager and such. Last year we all went to Las vegas where Gamestop hosted sort of a mini E3 convetion but for employees only.

Everything not Owned by sony, i.e. mg4, haze, uncharted etc, is pretty much planned by third parties for the 360. MG4 was heavaly talked about by Konami, but no commitments are ever made so if they change minds its okay. FF 13 is the only one third party staying loyal. and thats because its the only one thats an absolute system seller. people will pay 500 dollars to play FF13. Untill that happens it is a money thing, according to the company reps. 360 is in almost 4 times as many house holds so not releaseing on the 360 limits the company to way less sales. Lair heavenly sword and motorstorm, God of War 3 are all sony title, and thus concole only ps3. drake was supposed to be only ps3 as was haze but the lack of sales of ps3s is the one and only spurring factor in releaseing on the 360.

Thats just from talking in Las Vagas, Nothing hard facts. anyway thats all i know untill they become reseravable in the system You can reserve Star wars unleashed, for whenever if ever it comes out lol.

I would nothing more than a real reason to oplay my ps3 so I hope they do get exclusives, if they release on box I buy box, if only for achievments. They make a games replay value higher.
