[Pokeh]

I was invited to post some things in here. How kind.

(I don't want to spam, so I'll keep my stuff to this thread. ;))

Here's one I call Diabolical Sonnet 1:

I met a chap while on a beaten path;
His skin was pale and damp, his eyes were round,
And I was gripp'd from head to toe in wrath,
And lifted up, and set back on the ground.
He said he'd seen the Devil; there, he stood
With eyes ablaze in moonlight-on-the-sea;
He said — My girl, I'd face him if I could,
The Devil, dear, has never frightened me. —
Dusting off, I look'd him in the eye
And wondered if he'd seen mine red or blue,
For, knowing that appearances may lie,
Through mischief all my semblances are true.
I bent his back, and kissed his shaking head,
And blessed his soul, until his soul had fled.

here's something recent.



Dinosaur Factories

There used to be smelly old dinosaur factories,
Offensive to all of our senses olfactory;
The public complained they were dissatisfactory
In the rate of production of things pteridactory.
Those factories were, as I've heard, quite eyesores,
And each day they sent out big earsplitting roars—
The government issued a ban, furthermore,
And that was the end of the great Dinosaur.

Like a few others, I too am not a Poem fanatic, I also hate the thought of having to make poems for school. But, I thought your poems were Awesome. I especially liked the Dinosaur Factory one, sort of made me laugh. I also liked your Third one, with the .. Chappy .. chum .. hat? Well, it was good. Can't wait to read more later.
