Sony announced earlier this week a new feature to rival the Mii and achievement point systems of M$ and Nintendo. The new feature is called HOME. HOME is an artificial world where you can interact with other PS3 owners in public spaces and if you wish invite them back to your private area (your house) and show them items that you've won from games and stream content from your hard drive. It's kinda hard to describe but it's basically second life but on your PS3 and much prettier.
That looks like one heck of an idea. They have tons of options and things they can add on to what they already want to have. I hope the beta is available to most people that currently have a PS3.
Edit: PS I just found the link for the beta sign up. I will be checking that little guy every couple of days.
I read about this a couple days ago. Seems an amazing idea and, lets be honest, it was totally unexpected. I am already getting a PS3 and this has made me even more excited and the beta version for home will be launching in April.
