This is a new movie currently in theaters, just saw it tonight.
This movie is like no other horror movie I have ever seen, and I love horror movies and have seen many. This movie is more frightening than anything I have ever seen, heard, experienced, anything I have watched and most likely anything I will watch in the future. This movie isn't your typical horror movie, unlike many slash and blood and stupid attractive women that always die movies. This flick's story is so deep and indepth that it creeps me out thinking about how it all happened.
This movie is about a women who was born in Russia in 1966. Her family has always lived on an island about 100yards away from any other land right in the middle of Russia. Her family has a deep and destructively violent past, that I won't explain not only because I don't want to ruin anything but because the past history is very different from any other plot in a horror movie and I would not want to explain it. Anyway, her mother is murdered by her father and many other family members from the past have been murdered in this retchedly creepy house from h*ll, with many passages and rooms that have some deep dark secrets. She was adopted by new parents when she was a baby, and moved to the United States. Now's she's in her late 30s and she want's to go back to her home country (Russia) and find out what happened with her parents and family, the small wooded island with the big house in the middle that her family has always lived in hasn't been visited in 40 years, no one has set foot on this island for so long because of the horrors and legends that are all true. She returns and finds out she can't leave the island no matter what.
There is so much more to this story that makes the movie so d*mn great but if I say anything more it will spoil things.
This movie will frighten you to the core, and I highly suggest this movie more than any other movie I have seen so far this year.
I am not frightened easily, movies don't normally scare me at all, I'm not afraid of the dark at all or anything like that, but this movie scares the cr*p out of me. I give it a 9 out of 10.

are there any supernatural themes? or just psychological?

Mostly psychological, some supernatural, in a shiver and cold sweet down my spine kind of way.
Probably won't release it in New Zealand (that's where you live right?), so in a few days you'll probably be able to download it.

i live in AUSTRALIA,
BIG FUGLY NATION WITH MONOBROW LEADER, YEA HIM
WM is the only one i know from NZ
they might release it in selective cinemas..........
apparently from the trailer (=O) theres a twin, changing past or something, and a freaky house

Yeah, that's in the movie, just didn't want to say anything about the twin because it's somewhat of a spoiler.
Go see it in select cinemas.

I guess the twin's not that much of a spoiler as I thought it would be, just thought it was cool to the story.
