Re: Physics card.

its awesome, but its too expensive for me. maybe when it gets more killer apps i'll pick one up, cause it has so much potential.

Re: Physics card.

i wish ati and nvidia would come out with a ppu. i mean, they have a lot of support for their ppu's just cause of reputation alone. but...physx isn't that great. maybe it'll get better. i guess most hardware gets better with time.

Them integrating a PPU would not help at all. They are trying to make a 3rd video card for physics rendering.

That means:
New motherboard
New video card
New CPU

for a lousy upgrade.

The physx is cheaper if you look at that aspect

Re: Physics card.

cheaper than that, yeah. but still expensive. although i've seen it for 250. i'm sure it'll keep going down in price. it'll get cheaper and better, just watch. like hookers, but in reverse.

Re: Physics card.

if you go out and buy a ppu now u r either a complete moron or just got to much damm $$$ think about it. The voodoo 1 cost over $800 when it came out and came out with software to utilize it. Aiega has released this card with a demo (WOW OMFG) i mean ffs to spend that amount of cash on a peice of hardware that is gonna take up precious room in your allready overcrowed rig and create heat in that furnace of a pc and do not much else is ridiculous yes it is a incredible pice of hardware that I myself am looking foward to buying but guys think about it they will drop in price as more software is developed that uses the technology.

Well thats my rant
